China got behind 22-24 in the first quarter due to the absence of Liu Wei but ended the first half with a 52-43 lead. In the third quarter, China dominated the game with successive long-shots and kept the lead 79-65.

Iceland tried to catch up in the fourth quarter but had to surrender 96-80.

Iceland guard Magnus Gunnarsson gave a perfect performance and scored a game-high 21.

China wrapped up the warm-up games for the Asian Basketball Championships with 12 wins and 10 losses and will start its first championships game against Iran in Doha, Qatar on September 8.
