        Crane accident kills 13 workers in Yunnan

        Casualty in a crane accident happened at a hydropower construction site in an ethnic prefecture in southwest China's Yunnan Province has risen to 13 on Tuesday.

        The crane accidentally fell down during operation on Monday afternoon killed 10 workers on-the-spot leaving another five seriously injured.

        Xinhua's source with the Funing County government in the Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture on Tuesday confirmed that the casualty has risen to 13.

        The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The Tiansheng Bridge Hydropower Plant under construction is located 80km away from the county center. The county government has sent three rescue groups or 60 people to the construction site to cope with the investigation and compensation matters.
