NZ police seek clues of killed Chinese woman

        Updated: 2005-05-02 15:00

New Zealand police appealed Monday for information in West Auckland homicide inquiry over a Chinese woman found dead Sunday in a suburb car park.

Auckland police said the dead was 54 year old Xiukin Feng of Mt Wellington who was known to some family and friends as Nancy. She had lived in New Zealand for sometime and was originally from China.

The dead was discovered in a car early on Sunday morning by a security guard. She had died by then for about 24 hours, and a post mortem examination found the dead had suffered a head injury, said the police.

For the past two days police have been interviewing family and friends of Nancy to establish a picture of her life. Nancy was involved in the management of massage parlor, said the police.

Detective Senior Sergeant John Sutton said there are about 25 staff on the inquiry team, working for the community and the family of Nancy to find who was responsible for her death.

Police are looking for a number of items of property belonging to Nancy. This includes her cell phone, handbag and keys. As part of the search for any items that may be of relevance, rubbish has been taken from bins near the car park and is being searched.

Police are still asking for any sighting of a grey/gold vehicle, believed might having relations with the homicide.
