A happy lemur family in Buenos Aires Zoo (Reuters) Updated: 2005-03-24 08:40
A female lemur plays with a camera lens with
her one-month-old twins riding along at the Buenos Aires Zoo, March 23,
2005. A lemur is a kind of primate related to simians, which is more
arboreal, meaning they spend more of their time in trees and bushes.
Although lemurs are no longer being hunted as much as in the past, their
survival is threatened because their natural forest habitats are being cut
down for lumber and to clear lands for farming.
