Women died amid jolly holiday with no help A vagabond woman in her mid 30s died under a cloverleaf junction after lying there for five days as the police never gave a hand on demand. The woman, allegedly a Sichuan native, died October 7, 2004 in Xian, the capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Many locals have expressed their dissatisfaction with the police and other authorities for their dereliction of duty and lack of sympathy. "She had been lying there since October 2, and couldn't move at all" recalled a female witness who were practice driving in the area when she spotted the woman. "We reported to the police and dialed 120 to ask for an ambulance but there never came any help." "I can't tell who should be responsible for the death," said another witness surnamed Wong. "If they had come in time she wouldn't have lost her life." There is currently no further information concerning the miserable woman who died lonely amidst others' jolly celebration of the weeklong National Day Holiday. So far no comments from the police have concerning the incident have been available.
