Tourists warned of cool days in Inner Mongolia (Xinhua) Updated: 2004-10-01 14:23
Meteorological officials warned tourists heading to north China's Inner
Mongolia Autonomous Region be prepared for cool, windy weather there over the
coming National Day holidays.
Kang Ling, deputy chief of the Inner Mongolia Regional Meteorological
Station, said that the minimum temperature will hit zero degrees Celsius during
the holidays due to movement of a strong cold front, and frost is expected in
most parts of the area.
Kang said that from October 1 to 3, sleet and gales will appear in the east
and north parts of Inner Mongolia. After October 3, temperature will gradually
rise accompanied by rainy days.
Inner Mongolia usually has over 10 million tourists each year.
