So, who has the loosest sexual attitude?
Single men and women in Britain have some of the loosest sexual behaviour in the world, according to a survey of more than 10,000 people done by the marketing agency Euro RSCH Worldwide. The survey asked adults from the UK, France, Germany, US and China about their sexual behaviour. Nearly six out of 10 (59 per cent) of the Britons said it was normal for a person in their 30s to have had 10 or more lovers during their single years, compared with 30 per cent of the French and 17 per cent of the Chinese. Only the Americans came close to Britain in the "ten or more" question, with 52 per cent saying that a double-digit figure was acceptable. While more than half of Americans and 70 per cent of Chinese say that monogamy is a natural human state, just 42 per cent of Britons are in favour of fidelity. It was only the Germans — 40 per cent — who were more sceptical in this. However, the old joke cliche "No sex please, we're British", still seems to hold. In Britain, 63 per cent of the men and 47 per cent of the women agree that
they are entitled to expect regular sex from their partners — the lowest
percentage of any country.
