Arabic TV airs images of 2 Americans killed in Iraq
        (Xinhua)
        Updated: 2004-04-11 15:48

The images of two Americans purportedly killed by Iraqi insurgents were aired on the Arabic Al-Jazeera TV channel on April 11.

Al-Jazeera said it received a videotape that showed the bloody bodies of two foreigners lying on a roadside in Fallujah.

"The audio recording accompanying the footage said the two men were (US) intelligence officers working in Iraq," it said.

However, it is not immediately clear when and where the videotape was shot.

Several foreigners have been killed, kidnapped or gone missing since US marines besieged Fallujah last Monday following the killing and mutilation of four Americans in the city the previous week.
