Formosa Plastics group member Formosa Technologies Corp will join forces with International Business Machines Corp in developing the Greater China market for enterprise resources planning (ERP) and e-commerce services that covers the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the Economic Daily News reported, citing Formosa Technologies officials.

Formosa Technologies, formerly the information technology division of the Formosa Plastics group, is slated to start serving clients in June 2002, the officials said.

Formosa Technologies is currently staffed by 250 people, a figure to be raised to 450 in 2004, they added.
