Gwyneth Paltrow reveals favorite movies ( 2003-11-28 09:26) (Agencies) Gwyneth Paltrow has room in
her heart for only two of her recent films, "The Royal Tenenbaums" and "The
Talented Mr. Ripley."
"But that's it since 'Shakespeare in Love,'" the 31-year-old
actress tells Entertainment Weekly magazine in its Nov. 28 issue. "I'm trying to
think if I left anything out. No, not really."
Paltrow won a best-actress Oscar in 1999 for "Shakespeare in Love." Her
movies since winning the Academy Award also include "Duets," "Shallow Hal" and
"View From the Top."
However, she's embracing her new film, "Sylvia," in which she stars as poet
Sylvia Plath. It's a role that her father, producer-director Bruce Paltrow,
urged her to take on. He died last year at 58 of throat cancer.
Paltrow says she's going to limit herself to one or two movies a year.
"I have none of that wide-eyed `where is this going to go!' anymore," she
explains. "It's not excitement like that. It's excitement like I know what I'm
doing and I know what I want to do.'"
Her upcoming projects include the film adaptation of "Proof" opposite Anthony
Hopkins, Hope Davis and Jake Gyllenhaal, and directed by John
Madden.
