Mother of teenager angry over lewd ads ( 2003-09-19 14:13) (China Daily) Sun, the mother of a
12-year-old boy, blushed in embarrassment as her son giggled at what she
considered a sexually explicit joke in an advertisement displayed inside one of
the city's No 347 buses.
Last Friday, a Beijing Times reporter found three similar ads inside some No
347 and 331 buses.
One ad read, "A male and female statue had stood face to face for years. One
day, Cupid freed them for 15 minutes to do what they must have desired for so
long but couldn't. In no time, the two statues ran to a secluded area and."
Alongside this, two other ads entitled "No Vigour for Husbands" and "Angry
Partner" offered subscriptions to a pornographic short message service for
cellphone users.
Sun said she worried about the vulgar ads' negative influence on
children.
