wreckage of a collapsed six-storey office building near a metro
line construction site in Shanghai on July 1. 2003. The building
began to shake in the early morning and came down around
9am. Eastday.com said the accident was caused by drifting sands that
suddenly poured into the cross-Huangpu-River metro line M4 that night,
