Beijing police arrest 189 for making counterfeit certificates
( 2002-01-29 11:07 ) (7 ) The Beijing railway police have arrested 189 people involved in making and selling counterfeit certificates, and have confiscated more than 2,160 counterfeit certificates and equipment for making the "certificates." After 8 days' concerted effort beginning January 20, the police uncovered two criminal groups involved in making counterfeit certificates in a Beijing suburb. Counterfeit railway tickets, seals, student identity cards and invoices were confiscated. Further investigations are being carried out.
