Heilongjiang's contribution to the nation's grain reserves is unique and irreplaceable, Ji Bingxuan, Party Secretary of the province, told China Daily. Ji's comments came as the northeastern province announced it was dramatically stepping up grain production and aiming to deliver more than 50 million tons a year to the nation's tables by 2012.
