Top 5 internet buzzwords of 2016

Cartoons are put online on Sina Weibo, a Twitter-like service in China, on April 2. Notes show that "two are on the 'friend ship'; one is getting thinner and the ship sinks." [Photo from Weibo]

        Friend"ship" sinks only too quick

The cartoons soon went viral and were forwarded 78,000 times within 10 days.

The artist, Nan Dongni, allowed netizens to replace the original captions with their own to create different versions of how a friendship sinks.

People always change, causing misunderstanding between friends and then capsizing friend"ships".
