China and Russia will jointly uphold global peace and the outcome of WWII, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday.
Wang made the remarks at a news conference in Beijing on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.
China and Russia are permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. Both countries will hold activities this year to commemorate the WWII victory, Wang said.
"Our relationship is becoming more mature and stable. As comprehensive strategic partners, China and Russia have a good tradition of supporting each other," Wang said.
