China would like to enhance cooperation with Uzbekistan in areas including equipment manufacture, Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday while meeting with visiting Uzbekistan's President Islam Karimov.
The cooperation in productivity and infrastructure between the two countries has great potential and such cooperation will bring new impetus for the economic growth of both countries, Li said.
China would like to enhance communication with Uzbekistan, boost bilateral trade, innovate the mode of cooperation, and make more practical achievements from the high-level political trust, Li said.
Karimov said that China is playing a unique constructive role in international affairs, and Uzbekistan would like to enhance cooperation with China to make more progress of bilateral ties.
Karimov is in Beijing to attend the celebrations of the 70 anniversary of the end of World War II and the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-45).
