SEOUL -- China, South Korea and Japan on Thursday hold the 9th senior-level diplomatic dialogue in Seoul, discussing trilateral cooperation in fields of common concerns.
The meeting brought together Chinese vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin, South Korea's deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Lee Kyung-soo and Japanese deputy Foreign Minister Shinsuke Sugiyama.
During the trilateral meeting, the diplomats reviewed progresses of cooperation among the three countries in terms of economy, environmental protection, culture and other fields since the beginning of this year
The three sides discussed the key fields for cooperation in the next step and exchanged views on directions for future cooperation.
China, South Korea and Japan reached a consensus on keeping strengthening exchanges and cooperation in various areas, contributing to an early settlement of difficulties and challenges among the three countries.
They agreed to promote the healthy and stable development of trilateral ties and make due contribution to the regional cooperation of East Asia.
