A correction statement issued by the Hohhot real estate development supervision authority on June 26 made the capital of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region the first in China to relax curbs on the purchase of commercial property with an official document.
And in a notice released June 20, Hohhot said it was giving full play to the role of the market in resource allocation and was abolishing the filing system of commercial properties sales plans.
It said there would be no need to submit proof of housing quantity queries in the procedures of signing, online signing, paying taxes, getting a loan or registering property rights when buying a commercial property, including two properties; however, the correction statement changed "including two properties" to "including secondhand housing".
