China will treat all the companies, solely owned or joint ventures, as equal in future reforms and create a platform of fair competition for them, Premier Li Keqiang assured multinational corporate leaders on Thursday.
He told about 20 domestic and overseas corporate leaders that energy is the bottleneck of China's development, so the country will promote the use of clean energy, low carbon and energy-conservation industries.
"China supports its companies to cooperate with and share technolgies with multinationals," he said.
Li met the domestic and overseas corporate leaders on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2014 in Boao, Hainan province.
Business elites, from companies including Toyota Motor Corp, Tencent Holdings Ltd and the Kweichou Moutai Group, exchanged views on China's investment environment, energy conservation and environmental protection, and the involvement of multinationals in China's reforms.
