The foundation of the Central Reform Leading Group will play a key role in China's reform, said Xu Yaotong, professor of the Chinese Academy of Governance, during an interview with people.com.cn Tuesday.
China is to commission a specialized high-level group to design and coordinate the country's "great revolution" of reform and opening-up.
Part of the new group's duties, apart from economic reform, is to plan and carry out reform on modernizing China's "governance system" and "governance capability", according to the just concluded plenum of the Communist Party of China that approved on comprehensive and deeper reforms.
Xu also applauded a communiqué issued after the plenum, which said that in comprehensively deepening reform the Party must correctly address the relations between reform, development and stability, being bold in mind yet steady in steps.
It has combine overall design at the top level with the pragmatic reform approach of "crossing the river by feeling the stones," and will bring great influences to our reform,?Xu said.
