Most parts of China will face a sudden drop in temperatures and a new round of precipitation brought by a strong cold front before Wednesday, the national weather forecaster said.
In addition to gales, northern China will be hit by mild rain with the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and parts of the northeastern areas of the country facing snowfalls, according to the China Meteorological Administration.
The CMA said parts of the country will also experience a sudden temperature drop by up to 12 degrees Celsius.
According to the CMA, the temperature in the coming 10 days in North China will be 1 C lower than the average level in the past two decades.
Heavy snow is expected to hit Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang on Wednesday.
Inner Mongolia saw its first snowfall this year on Friday, with temperatures dropping to 13 C below zero on Sunday.
