Large Medium SmallBEIJING - An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 5:52 pm Wednesday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter, with a depth of about 5 km, was at 39.7 degrees north latitude and 75.5 degrees east longitude.
