GUANGZHOU - A major port linking Hong Kong and Shenzhen city has been temporarily closed after a fire erupted from a customs building on Monday night, firefighters said.
Passengers at the port were already evacuated and there have been no report of casualties.
Local fire control authorities received a report at 8:50 pm stating that heavy smoke was belching from a customs office in the Luohu Port in Shenzhen, one firefighter told Xinhua.
Firefighters are still working to put out the blaze.
An initial probe said the fire might have been ignited by an electrical wiring malfunction on the third floor.
