Trade with US, EU tops US$200 billion(Xinhua)Updated: 2006-11-14 06:47 China's trade with both the United States and the European Union (EU) passed the US$200 billion mark in the first 10 months of this year, according to the latest statistics from the General Administration of Customs. The EU remained China's largest trading partner during the period, with a trade volume of US$218.9 billion, up 24.2 per cent year-on-year. The US came second with a trade volume of US$214.52 billion, up 24.6 per cent year-on-year. Japan was the third largest trade partner, with volume of US$168.46 billion, up 12.5 per cent year-on-year. Trade between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong hit US$131.8 billion, with a yearly increase of 23.1 per cent. |
