Charlie Sheen to return to work in weeks

Charlie Sheen plans to return to work by the end of the month.

The 45-year-old actor - who was rushed to hospital last week after an alleged 36-hour alcohol and cocaine binge - is hoping to return to the set of his hit comedy 'Two and a Half Men' over the next few weeks.

When asked whether Charlie would be back at work by the end of February, his representative Stan Rosenfield told US TV show 'E News!': "I understand that is what is being targeted."

Announcement of the troubled star's return to the show comes after production on 'Two and a Half Men' was temporarily halted last week when Charlie revealed he would be undergoing a three-month treatment course for substance abuse.

However, rather than enter a rehabilitation facility, the actor has put together a team of professionals to help him overcome his troubles at home.

Charlie recently released a statement thanking fans, as well as his 'Two and a Half Men' co-stars and crew members, for their support and encouragement regarding his home rehab stint.

He said: "I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people. I want to say thank you to my fellow cast members, the crew of 'Two and a Half Men' and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros., especially Les Moonves and Bruce Rosenblum for their concern and support.

"And to my fans, your good wishes have touched me very much. Like Errol Flynn, who had to put down his sword on occasion, I just want to say thank you."
