A conference to promote the development of the Internet of Things will be held in China next June.

The term "Internet of Things" refers to connecting all objects, including automobiles, apartments and even the human body to the Internet.

The World Internet of Things Convention, initiated by the World China Business Alliance, an association of overseas Chinese businessmen, will focus on promoting understanding of the Internet of Things.

It will feature a main forum and 12 sub-forums where industry experts and business leaders will exchange views on the latest developments of big data, smart city projects and safety standards for the Internet of Things as well as Internet medicare services.

He Xuming, chairman of the World China Business Alliance, said both domestic and foreign technology enterprises are welcome to attend. "We hope to offer a platform for all parties involved and call for a common standard for the development of the Internet of Things," he said.
