        A new chapter in commitment

Getting closer to customers and understanding needs key to further development, Li Fangfang reports

Dual brands Jaguar and Land Rover have gained the appreciation of Chinese customers in unprecedented numbers in recent years.

Jaguar Land Rover's distinctive British styling and exceptional driving experience have added new dimensions to the premium auto market in China.

Bob Grace, regional president of Jaguar Land Rover Greater China, helped the company grow steadily since 2010 and made the country the brand's top market in the world last year. The British automaker sold more than 100,000 cars in China during the 2013-2014 fiscal year and is now writing a new chapter in its long-term commitment to the Chinese market.

The pace of development continued in the first quarter with more than 29,500 units delivered to customers, a 36 percent increase on the previous year. "All our investments in China are made with our customer's best interests at heart. This is why we are always looking to get closer to our customers and offer them increasingly better service and experiences," said Grace.

In step with sales, Jaguar Land Rover's network in China has grown fast.

"This year, we will further expand the distribution network to more than 200 from the current 150, going to more third- and fourth-tier cities, as well as increase our efficiency in the Western China through the opening of our Chengdu regional office in May," said Grace.

Jaguar Land Rover places great importance on customer satisfaction and constantly aims to enhance its services. It will open its third training academy in Guangzhou in the second quarter and launch its fifth apprentice training program in Chengdu in May, which is designed to foster high-caliber talents to support dealers' need for qualified technicians.

These efforts highlight Jaguar Land Rover's long-term commitment to growing with the China market by staying close to customers and providing them with outstanding products, excellent service, and unforgettable brand experiences.

        New charity fund

The Beijing auto show provided a dramatic setting for the company's announcement of a new chapter, including plans to start the Jaguar Land Rover China Children & Youth Dream Fund later this year.

Focused on under-privileged and disadvantaged children, the fund's goal of "inspiring the dreams of our future" represents a commitment to long-term development and the desire to give back to the society.
