China Southern, Baidu sign cooperation agreement in Wuzhen

China Southern Airlines and Baidu signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the third World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, an ancient water town in Zhejiang province.
The agreement covers eight fields, such as geographic position-based mobility service, internet marketing, user research, cloud calculation and big data.
Baidu president Zhang Yaqin said the two sides will build a one-stop intelligent mobility platform for users, based on their cutting-edge big data marketing and information technology.
Wang Changshun, chairman of China Southern Airlines Company Ltd, and Robin Li, chairman and CEO of Baidu, exchanged gifts of car and airplane models at the ceremony.
Since September, China Southern Airlines has been making efforts to promote its e-commerce platform, "China Southern E-Journey", Wang said the aim of the project is to realize 70 percent of all its functions through mobile phone application in one year and all functions in three years.
