YANGON - The 14th annual Myanmar-China Border Trade Fair will be held in Myanmar's northeastern border town of Muse next month, according to the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce Tuesday.
The border trade fair, slated for Dec 11 to 13, will showcase 224 booths -- 140 from China, 4 from neighboring countries and 80 from Myanmar.
According to Myanmar official statistics, China-Myanmar trade totaled $6.62 billion in 2013, accounting for 28.4 percent of Myanmar's total foreign trade which was $23.29 billion that year.
The official data also show that China's investment in Myanmar reached $14.46 billion in 71 projects as of August 2014 since Myanmar opened to foreign investment in late 1988, accounting for 29.26 percent of the total and ranking the first in Myanmar's foreign investment line-up.
