Wu Lijun, Assistant Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, will step down and assume the position of Party secretary and president of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, according to a statement by CSRC on Monday.

Chen Dongzheng, Party secretary and president of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, will step down due to age, said the statement.

Xiao Gang, chairman of CSRC, said the adjustment shows that the Central Party and the State Council pay attention to the construction of capital market. As capital market reform deepens, stock exchange will take on more tasks.
