The Maybach Landaulet, which has a price tag of 14 million yuan ($2 million), was released at the Beijing Auto Show on April 20.
The Maybach Landaulet is powered by an uprated V12 engine with twin turbochargers and water intercooling developing 450 kW/612 hp from 4800 to 5100 rpm and an impressive 1000 Nm of torque between 2000 and 4000 rpm.
Based on the Maybach 62 S sedan, the Landaulet's front seats are fully enclosed and separated from the rear passenger compartment by a removable divider. Back seat passengers, however, get a sliding soft roof that lets them take in the sun from the comfort of the trick Barcaloungers that pass for back seats in the Maybach.
The chauffeur's area is finished in black leather, while the rear is done in all white with piano black and gold-flecked black granite inserts. Also, the opacity of that glass partition separating the driver from the passengers can be electronically controlled.
