Metro China 2015 will be held in Beijing from Nov 17 to 20, according to the organizers of the event.
The Sixth Beijing International Exhibition of Railway Transportation Construction, Operation and Equipment will showcase advanced technologies, urban rail equipment and power supplies.
One of the highlights of the exhibition will be a demonstration of a metro train equipped with a state-of-the-art passenger information system, a wireless communication network and Wifi.
By the end of 2014, 22 cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, had constructed urban rail links, adding up to 3,137 kilometers of track. Last year, more than 12.6 billion passengers traveled on these city metros.
Major companies such as Bombardier Inc, Siemens AG, China Railway Signal and Communication Corp, and China Academy of Railway Sciences have signed up for the exhibition.
