BEIJING - China Everbright Bank, a medium-sized lender, reported its net profit in the first half of 2014 rose 6.25 percent year on year to 15.87 billion yuan ($2.60 billion).
Its non-performing loan ratio, however, edged up to 1.11 percent at the end of June, up 0.25 percentage points from that at the end of last year, the lender said in a statement filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Friday.
In the first half, Everbright's business revenue hit 37.46 billion yuan, up 10.89 percent year on year. Its net interest income went up 1.78 billion yuan or 6.85 percent year on year, while non-interest income jumped 24.51 percent year on year.
At the end of June, the lender's total assets hit 2.67 trillion yuan.
