China will continue to actively consider joining all kinds of bail-out plans in response to the global financial crisis, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

Spokeswoman Jiang Yu made the remark at a regular press conference in Beijing when asked whether China would contribute to a proposed bail-out fund to help countries affected by the current world financial crisis.

She said that as a member of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), China has been providing funds.

"We are willing to continue to actively consider to join in all kinds of bail-out plans to the best of our ability," she added.

She said that China will strengthen coordination with all other countries and major international financial organizations, including the IMF, to jointly stabilize the global financial market and promote world economic growth.

She stressed that the international community should make concerted efforts to jointly respond to the global financial crisis, which has made a serious impact on the global financial system and world economic development.
