Growth of China's tourism industry celebrated
With its ancient Chinese architectural style, displays of exquisite ceramics, and workers in traditional hanfu attire, the China Pavilion at the World Travel Market in London, England has been attracting a lot of visitors since it opened on Tuesday.
Themed on "high-quality development of China's tourism", this year's China Pavilion brings together tourism authorities and companies from nine provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shaanxi, Yunnan, and Xinjiang.
Chinese exhibitors are using the pavilion to display diverse tourism products, distinctive local culture and landscapes, convenient measures for inbound tours, and innovative business scenarios.
"The theme of high-quality and green development of tourism in China reflects our commitment to sustainable growth that not only enhances travelers' experience but also protects the environment and respects local cultures," said Zhang Li, director of the China National Tourist Office in London, who spoke at the opening ceremony of the China Pavilion.
Zhang said he hoped travel industry professionals will take the opportunity to join their Chinese counterparts "in advancing a tourism industry that celebrates high-quality, sustainability, and cultural integrity".
