Air Serbia launches direct route from Belgrade to Guangzhou
Air Serbia announced it will open a direct air route from Belgrade, Serbia, to Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, starting Monday, further strengthening the air connections between the two nations, according to a statement released by the airline on Friday.
Opening the new air route provides more convenient travel options for business people, international students and tourists and will help further strengthen ties between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Europe, the statement said.
The new direct flight will operate twice weekly, using an Airbus 330 model to ensure passengers enjoy a comfortable and safe flying experience, it said.
Meanwhile, Air Serbia is actively advancing preparations for opening a direct air route between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Belgrade, according to the statement.
As one of China's most important international aviation hubs, Shanghai Pudong International Airport boasts a comprehensive route network and advanced facilities, it said.
With high expectations for the Shanghai Pudong air route, Air Serbia is now actively communicating and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure the smooth progress of its opening.
In 2022, Air Serbia officially resumed a direct air route between China's Tianjin municipality and the European country, marking the resumption of regular international passenger flights between Serbia and China after years of hiatus.
The opening of the Tianjin air route has provided more convenient travel options for passengers from both countries and promoted exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economy, trade, tourism and culture. Air Serbia's popularity and influence in the Chinese market have increased since the Tianjin air route opened.
