        Opera merges music pros and amateurs

        La Traviata, the classic opera in three acts by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, will be staged by the music school of Zhengzhou University, Henan Art Center and Beijing Poly Theater Management Company, with 10 shows running from Nov 20 to 29.

        Gathering artists including tenor Dai Yuqiang, the head of the music school of Zhengzhou University, director Wu Yin and conductor Tian Guanghao, the opera production will gather young Chinese singers and the newly founded choir Zai Yu, which consists of amateur music lovers.
