This year's Mid-Autumn Festival gala by Henan Satellite TV returns to the essence of "adventure", centering around the enchanting Moonlit Trilogy of "Inviting the Moon", "Awaiting the Moon" and "Full Moon". The gala will broadcast live tonight at 7:30 pm Beijing time.

The gala will delve into the traditional cultural themes of the festival through an artistic fusion of dance, music, sports, art and cutting-edge technology, offering a fresh interpretation in the modern world.

Featuring a stellar lineup, the gala brings together renowned stars from various fields, including film, television, music, opera, comedy and sports. Notable participants include Yue Opera actress Chen Lijun, Olympic gold medalist swimmer Sun Yang, and his wife Zhang Doudou, a former rhythmic gymnast Asian champion.

Additionally, China's national rhythmic gymnastics team, fresh from their gold medal victory at the Paris Olympic Games, will present Phoenix Soaring to the Sky, a performance featuring ribbon weaving and traditional Chinese musical instruments such as guzheng and pipa.

Returning to the original intention, the program once again focuses on museums. Using cultural relics as the starting point for creation, it aims to give traditional content a more modern expression through artistic expression and technological empowerment.

In the ethereal dance Four Divine Beasts and the Cloud Diagram, Henan Museum's most prized treasure comes alive. Dancers embody the flowing elegance of the cloud patterns adorning the themed fresco, capturing the ancients' magnificent vision of the mystical world. The seamless blend of dance and special effects blurs the line between reality and fantasy, creating an ethereal and dreamlike atmosphere.
