Ecological conservation is one of the top issues China has addressed in its two sessions, the top annual political gatherings, over the years.

When taking part in discussions with fellow deputies of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region delegation on Saturday, President Xi Jinping once again stressed the importance of pursuing green and high-quality development.

In an interview with China Daily, Chen Liang, a deputy from the Inner Mongolia delegation, shared his story.
