MNCs keep faith in China's growth potential
A1 Thanks to China's opening-up policy, Ericsson was able to continuously gain new market opportunities from 1G to 5G. In China's 14th Five-year Plan (2021-25), it is proposed to speed up the construction of new infrastructure, which includes 5G.This will be a long-term market opportunity, and we have the chance to continuously promote implementing Ericsson's leading 5G technology and successful global practices in China.
I am very much looking forward to new initiatives for improving the business environment and expanding market access in China at the upcoming two sessions.
A2 I am very optimistic about China's high-quality development prospects. High-quality development means building a more intelligent society, which cannot be achieved without widespread adoption of 5G networks and 5G applications.
Ericsson is a global leader in 5G technology, which we use to empower the real economy and do our best to ensure high-quality 5G network construction and promote 5G application innovations. At the same time, Ericsson is also committed to sustainable development, continuing enabling the decarbonization of various industries through the use of 5G and contributing to achieve China's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
A3 Ericsson has been working in the Chinese market for 130 years. We are always optimistic about the prospects of the Chinese market and are willing to exchange long-term investment for long-term returns. In 2022, we will continue to focus on the needs of customers and explore the China market with advanced technologies, products, and services.
A4 China is always actively embracing globalization, which provides a wide scope for Ericsson to continue cooperation with Chinese partners. In the future, Ericsson will continue to work with its Chinese partners to promote the unification of global mobile communication technology standards, build a global ecosystem, and promote openness and cooperation in the communications industry.
At the same time, Ericsson will continue to use its advanced technology and global resources to help Chinese enterprises go overseas.
A5 It is inevitable that economic policies may trigger capital fluctuations. Ericsson has been serving in China for 130 years, and in the past five years alone, Ericsson's total investment in R&D in China has exceeded 15 billion yuan ($2.38 billion).
In 2022, Ericsson will continue its commitment to the China market and actively participate in the construction of digital economy and sustainable development in China with advanced technology, global resources, and successful practices.
