A man in Central China's Hunan province used a TV ad to bring his missing father home and helped him turn himself in to authorities, the Yangtze Evening News reported on Wednesday.
Xiaohua's father, Feng, had been on the lam for five years, after being convicted of faking invoices. Xiaohua lost contact with his father during that time, except once receiving 10,000 yuan ($1,487) from him in Yueyang, Hunan province, the report said.
In August this year, Xiaohua decided to do whatever he could to find his father, including running a “father lost” ad on Yueyang TV, which finally allowed him to call his father and persuade him to come back.
Now, Feng is on bail at home awaiting trial, the report said.
